I’m an incoming intern at a busy inner-city EM program and trying to plan out my year ahead. I was wondering when people recommend taking COMLEX Level 3. I have a two-week vacation block in mid-March and was considering taking it then. Would that be too early in intern year? Is it possible to take it during one of my EM blocks or should I try during this vacation time?

Also, any recommendations on question banks? I’m trying to decide between TrueLearn, COMQUEST, and AMBOSS. For Level 1 and 2, I mostly used UWorld for the medicine content and only really used TrueLearn for OMM.

My roommate and I are currently searching for a 2 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn with a June 1 move-in date. We’re mainly looking around Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Boerum Hill, Downtown Brooklyn, or anywhere with good access to the 2/5 line.

Our budget is around $4,000/month, but we could potentially go up to $4,200 for the right place. Looking for a 12+ month lease.

A little about us: we’re both moving to NYC for work, and I’ll be starting residency as a doctor this summer. We’re very responsible tenants: clean, quiet, financially stable, non-smokers, and respectful of shared spaces/neighbors. Mostly looking for a comfortable home with a solid commute.

We’ve been searching pretty aggressively and are starting to panic a little with how competitive everything is, so any leads, lease takeovers, broker recommendations, or off-market listings would seriously be appreciated.
