Heads up for former LA Fitness members

I just noticed a pending charge on my credit card for fit club South. that's curious because I had gone into LA Fitness before they shut their doors and had the manager cancel my membership. this is completely contrary to the Illinois consumer protections for fit club memberships.

I called fit club and got a lady who could barely speak English and after repeating that they were complying with the terms of the "membership agreement" over and over again I finally got her to admit that she could cancel my membership. she claimed that she did. I will be keeping an eye on this just to make sure. I plan to file a complaints with both the Springfield police department and the attorney general's consumer fraud division if a charge does go through. i also explained this to her.

New one. Side object indicators triggered by heavy rainstorm.

This happened today while I was out running errands. we had a sudden heavy downburst with very strong winds and I was getting the butt massage to both left and right, as well as the lights in the mirrors going off. this happened continuously while the heavy rain continued. unfortunately it was also a time when I really wanted the object detection to work right because I needed to change lanes and could not see very well.

I'm not sure if there's a fix for this. probably not. but just something that you should be aware of I think.

Do any of the plasma centers actually care about your time?

I have tried twice now to donate plasma the first time was at a place on North Grand and 5th. I stood in there for almost a half an hour and nobody paid any attention to me. I left. the second time was at a place on Wabash. I actually had an appointment for that one. I managed to get somebody's attention after about 20 minutes. I got about an hour and a half into the pre-donation rigmarole and started to get nervous because I had a eye doctor appointment about an hour from that point. I was told by the person helping me that it would take at least an hour to do the actual donation and that if I left I would lose all of the progress I had made so far. I left.

I don't need to donate plasma for the money although it would be a nice little supplement to my retirement income. if this is the best anybody in town can do I guess I'll stay with full blood donation.

Chime Volume won't adjust downward.

I can turn it up higher but it will not adjust below this level. is this a bug or a feature?

85%?

my car charged overnight to 85%. the setting was 80%. I've seen 81 before but never as high as 85. is this something I should have checked out? I know it's not a big deal as far as the battery goes but it could indicate something else wrong with the system.

If the door handles pop out does that mean that it has unlocked?

I have a tendency to press the lock button on my door as I'm getting out of the car. of course since my key fob is in a pocket the sensor tells the car that I'm nearby and it pops the door handles out. does this mean that the car has just undone my action of locking it?

I end up scrounging in my pocket for the key fob and hitting the lock button again but I would prefer not to have to do that if possible.

not charging to schedule.

I have posted about this before but it's been happening more often lately. I plug it in get the beep the screen says it will charge to whatever percentage I have set by the time I have set (normally 5:45 a.m. for me), and then it fails to charge. it's happened to me twice in the last week. it usually charges the next night, but that's not ideal.

is this something I should have checked by the dealership? is there something I can do to make sure it charges other than physically going out to my car and starting the charge? I get discounted rates between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. so that's my preferred charging time frame.

Would it kill them to have input selection?

sometimes I want to listen to an audiobook or podcast on my phone. other times I want to listen to Sirius XM or just regular radio. why do they have to overcomplicate these things. the only setting that I have found that allows me to stream from the phone pretty much automatically activates whatever app I was using the last time on the phone every time I turn on the car. that's not what I want. I just want to be able to select between the sources that I have available. just like every other vehicle and TV and stereo on the planet in the past.

Is there such a thing as a US range with 240 volt burners?

This would make common tasks like boiling water so much faster. I mean the oven is already plugged into 240 so it would certainly be possible to wire it that way.

Plugged in last night. Did not charge

Plugged into my level 2 charger when I got home for the day. Got the beep and went on with my life. It's scheduled to charge to 80% by 5:45 a.m. normally this works like a charm. Got up this morning and it had not charged at all. the dash says that it will charge to 80% by 5:45 a.m. Saturday.

Fortunately I'm not desperately low on charge, but this is concerning. At what point would you have this checked out?

my Chevy app took me to a non charger.

I'm about an hour south of Nashville Tennessee and was heading towards a charger that my Chevy directed me towards. ended up about 15 miles from the interstate and no chargers anywhere to be seen. luckily I was able to get to the next nearest charger before I ran out of juice. does this happen often? I have not had my car all that long.

First time using superchargers.

They seem speedy enough. Comparable to faster normal style charges that I've seen, but I feel like Elon could have sprung for another few feet of cable.

Seems like it only works sometimes. Mostly it seems to detect how much I'm holding in my arms and refuses to open the more I have.
