[App] I got tired of bloated file managers with ads, so I built NFile: A beautiful file manager, open-source

Hey everyone 👋

I've been working on a personal indie project called NFile. Honestly, I got super frustrated with the state of file managers on the Play Store almost all of them are packed with intrusive ads, subscriptions, or clunky legacy interfaces.

So, I decided to build my own from scratch using Flutter. My goal was to create something that looks stunning (dynamic Obsidian Slate aesthetic), feels snappy with buttery smooth animations, and packs genuine power-user features without any tracking or bloatware.

It is 100% Free, Open-Source, and Ad-Free.

(Edit) suggestions have been added to the new release:- https://github.com/Senzme/NFile/releases/tag/v1.0.23

🌟 Key Highlights & Features:

  • Browse Inside Archives Directly: You don't need to extract .zip, .tar, or .gz files! You can tap on an archive and navigate inside it like a regular virtual folder. You can even copy specific files out or delete items directly from inside the archive.
  • Native Split-APK / Bundle Installer: Ever downloaded an .xapk, .apks, or .aab bundle and struggled with installing it? Just tap it in NFile—it natively extracts the split APKs and automatically moves .obb files right into your /Android/obb/ directory.
  • Built-in Offline Document Rendering: No need for separate apps to read files. Comes with clean, fast built-in offline viewers for PDFs, Word (.doc/.docx), Excel (.xls/.xlsx), and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Integrated Media Suite: Snappy audio player, video player with subtitle support, and image viewer/editor.
  • Seamless Share & Open-With: When someone sends you a document or media file on Telegram, WhatsApp, or Gmail, you can select "Open With NFile" for instant viewing.

💬 Let me know what you think!

Since this is an active project, I’d absolutely love your honest feedback, feature requests, or bug reports. If you find it useful, an upvote or a star on GitHub would mean the world to me!

Requires Android 8.0+.
