I kept losing thoughts in the gap between thinking them and unlocking my phone. So the note lives in the notification shade.

Pull the shade down, type it, done. Grocery list, a reminder, a name you do not want to forget. You do not open the app.

If you write something like "milk, eggs sunday 6pm" it becomes a checklist and sets the reminder for you.

No ads. Free. Nothing to buy later. I did not want to ship something that nags you.

It is called Slip.

Meccha Chameleon gave me the idea, but I wanted to make it something you could play on your phone as well.

In Pic-Asso, you hide by blending a character into a real photo and you got to seek for others. there are also live matches where you can play against other real-time.

Let me know what you think:)

I'm a solo dev. I've been building *brute for about a year: a minimal, monochrome launcher built around a tile grid. I started it because it's what I wanted my own phone to look like. It just came out of open beta onto the Play Store properly.

What it does:

- Monochrome home screen with a tile grid, organised into groups

- Supertiles (live tiles on the home screen for weather, clock, music, battery, calendar, storage etc)

- Deep theming: fonts, accent colour, corner radius, blur, wallpapers, day/night palettes. Export your whole look as a file and share it

- A deck page for widgets, including normal Android ones

- Built-in RSS reader with a clean article view and on-device translation

- Universal search: apps, contacts, settings and the web in one bar

- Screen time per app

- Force any app to greyscale

- A countdown screen before you open the apps you waste time on

Good to know

- Free. There's a one-time unlock for all the extra features (supertiles, and importing custom themes). The launcher itself is free and always will be.

- No analytics, no account, no ads. It only touches the internet for weather and RSS. Translation runs on-device; contacts and calendar never leave the phone.

- Weather is Open-Meteo, so no API key and no sign-up.

- Much of brute's code was written with AI assistance. I direct it, review it, use it as my daily launcher (been doing so for almost half a year), and every release is tested on a real phone, and on a discord of 40 users.

Known limits

- There are, for sure, rough edges, and I'd rather hear about them than not.

- English only for now - more languages are on the roadmap.

- The theme store is in beta.

Giveaway: 40 Pro unlock codes.

Upvote the post and comment, and I'll DM the first 40 commenters.

If you end up liking it, a Play Store review helps a solo dev more than anything else.

Hi everyone—full disclosure: I’m the developer of PrivacyCam, and I recently made its source code available under the Apache 2.0 license.

PrivacyCam helps you review photos, videos, and PDFs before sharing them. It can detect faces, people, license plates, QR codes, barcodes, and sensitive text such as phone numbers, email addresses, payment-card details, and addresses. You can then blur, pixelate, or completely black out selected areas.

Detection and media processing happen on the device. Photos, videos, PDFs, and detected text aren’t uploaded to a server operated by me, and no account is required. The source is public so people can inspect how these privacy protections are implemented.

The app is free to download, with an optional $2.99 one-time purchase for batch-photo features—no subscription. For complete transparency, purchases are processed by Apple.

I’d appreciate comments on the privacy model, redaction workflow, and source code. What other sensitive information should an app like this help users identify?

• App Store
• Source code on GitHub

Last time I shared PopCalc, the calculator where every number is sculpted and every tap has weight, two requests rose above everything else: a scientific calculator and unit conversion.

Both just landed in 1.2.0.

Scientific calculator

Tap f(x) in the top bar to switch between simple and scientific keys.

• Powers, roots, brackets, π, e, factorial, trig with DEG/RAD, logs, and a 2nd key for inverses
• In degrees, `sin 180` is exactly 0 and `tan 90` says "Not defined"
• Brackets close themselves, and `2π` multiplies automatically
• Every kind of key has its own sound and feel

Unit converter

• Swipe through units like a slider and feel each notch click into place
• 10 categories, from length and temperature to data and energy, all with exact conversion factors
• Feel every tap, even more
• Stronger haptics on phones with weaker vibration motors
• A brand new launch sound

It's all still 100% offline, with no ads, no account, and zero data collected. Turn on Scientific & Converter in Settings to try it.

PopCalc is still in closed beta, and I'll drop how to join in the comments.

This update came straight from your requests, and I'm just getting started. What should I build next? Drop your ideas below.

I made an Android app that gives you live synced lyrics over almost any music app 🎵

It’s called Auralis.

I wanted something that could show lyrics without constantly switching between my music player, browser, and some lyrics app, so I built a floating lyrics overlay instead.

Auralis detects the song currently playing and shows time-synced lyrics directly over your music app. You can keep it as a small floating pill, expand it into a larger bar, or open a full-screen karaoke-style view.

Some of the features:

• 🎶 Live line-by-line synced lyrics
• 🫧 Floating overlay that works over other apps
• 🎨 Material You / wallpaper-based colors
• 💿 Album-art-based dynamic colors
• ⚙️ Custom background, text, accent, size and corner radius
• ⏱️ Manual sync adjustment with per-song timing memory
• 🎛️ Play / pause / previous / next controls
• 📄 Import your own .lrc or .txt lyrics
• 🚫 No ads
• 👤 No account required

The latest update also added an album-art mode where the overlay automatically changes its colors based on the current song's cover art.

Auralis is still pretty new, so I'd genuinely appreciate feedback, bug reports, or ideas for features you'd like to see.

I made Screen Translator Lens for Android, and I’m giving away 10 full-app Google Play codes. It normally costs US$3.99. No subscription or recurring app fees.

Move the floating lens over text in another app and tap to translate it, or translate text through the camera. Download the language packs first, then translate offline. Translation runs on-device; the app does not upload screen captures or camera images to a cloud translation service.

Languages: English, Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Indonesian, German, French, Japanese and Korean. Screen translation needs overlay and screen-capture permissions. Some apps block capture, and translations can contain mistakes.

Hello there!
I’m a solo developer working on an app named “Motivate”, Since the last giveaway went really well i’d like to make another one for everyone to give my app a try.

I built Motivate because I wanted something simple that would inspire me, track how I feel, and provide a private space to write about it. Because Life moves quickly, some days are heavier than they look, and often we forget to take care of ourselves because of the countless responsibilities we have. Between managing our time with work, school, and showing up for the people that need us, while keeping the small stutt to ourselves because we're scared of being too much, or just being scared of being judged. All of us need something to remind, inspire, and check on us.

What's inside:
Quotes: Daily inspiration that gives you new perspective on life, based on people's experience and struggles in the past.

Daily Reflection: Daily check-ins on how you feel, to make you realize how you've been doing, it gives you insight and tips on what to do next.

Journal: Your private place to write your thoughts, experiences, and struggles.

Forum: A community where you can ask for advice, or just share your experience with other people.

Chatbot: Have a one on one private conversation about your life and experience

After streaming a lot of music on my phone, I was in the mood to just listen to some local over-the-air radio stations. I found out that it’s not so easy to find an app that does this simply and isn’t made almost unusable by lots of annoying ads.

That was the idea behind creating Kitchen Radio. It reminded me of a friend who owns a lot of tech, but once said he wished he just had a simple radio in his kitchen to turn on and listen to.

Since it’s still an app, it’s also possible to discover all kinds of new music from around the world.

Since the app is new, I would really appreciate your honest feedback. :-)

• ❤️ Save your favourite songs and listen to them later on YouTube or Spotify
• 🌙 Set a sleep timer
• 🚗 Android Auto support
• ⏰ Wake up to your favourite radio station
• 📺 Chromecast support
