New here

Hi, new here. I've been making music for over 20 years but have been doing primarily ambient music for about 4 years now. I have a few questions and things I'd like to talk about.

Firstly what all gear does everyone use? Personally my set up has changed quite a bit over time especially since creating ambient music. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I'd like to hear what people are up to, send me some links, let's chat about how we create and why. Everyone has their own reasons for creating and I'd like to discuss that. Maybe we can find some inspiration on each other or find new people to collaborate with of anyone so chooses.

If you play live, does your live set up differ from your home set up? I play live shows at least once a month and I feel like my set up changes nearly every time. Sometimes it's a little more complex and other times it's a bit more minimal.

I create many types of ambient. When creating InFocus on sound design and create live musical pieces from the what I have designs. Everything has to fit and have a feeling. I generally have a topic before sound design that I want the feel of the track to be and start composing from there to eventually have a created piece. How do work/ is your creative process?

I have created six albums and a few long form pieces in the last four years for two different projects, another album for a non ambient experimental project as well. How often do you create? What do you most like to create?

I think that's about all for now. Have a great day!

Two keys for a primary machine

I've been making primarily ambient music over the last four years but have been experimenting with all kinds of weirdness aside with either making synths do drum machine stuff, odd recordings turned into samples, weird effects, unusual drum patterns, some glitchiness, and just some all around other goofing around with gear. This is that. Not exactly normal electronic music. Some of it sounds very experimental and some probably not so much. Either way I hope some of you out there get some enjoyment from it.

Consciousness after consciousness

My latest album for an ambient project I've been working on turned out quite experimental. It took a lot of doing things differently and doing things in ways I normally wouldn't and pushing sound and texture into directions that had to be found over being dileberate.

I have an ambient project called "an oracle of youth" I've been working on for a few years or more now. The fourth album I recently released is exploring consciousness after consciousness...so a kind of exploration of my thought on what happens long after we are gone with no memories that exist of the us. Beyond the thoughts of being a ghost or fleeting memory and into an existential unknown. Of that sound like

Before Judgement , The Collapse of Wings

Both dark and mild with some experimentation. This nearly an hour and a half album is a journey into darkness and back again. It's been three years since I created the first album which was my first full album venturing into the darker side of ambient. I hope a few of you will enjoy it.

Maybe It's time I give it a rest

I've been making music for over 20 years with no real success. I've worked incredibly hard on producing a couple projects over the last four years or so. I recently released the latest album for one of the projects and have gotten 3 plays. I'm not here to complain. Just vent because I truly feel like giving up.
