I dropped by the BMW Motorrad showroom near KBR Park today to check out the new 450 GS, and the salesperson literally just smiled and told me there are already 100 bookings ahead of me. I was floored. When I asked when that backlog would clear, he said their branch was only allotted 20 bikes and they'd be delivering them through October! Apparently, BMW is prioritizing international markets right now, though they plan to ramp up production and increase India's allotment in September. But here’s the kicker: I asked for a test ride, and they don't even have the RC for a test bike yet. A hundred people actually dropped 15k to book this bike completely blind without even riding it. Unreal.
