I have been analyzing folio 27r of the Voynich Manuscript and have developed a new hypothesis regarding its purpose. Rather than just a series of random illustrations, I believe this folio represents a sophisticated "Medical Curriculum" or an "Educational Filtration System."
Key Observations:
Filtration Process: The system of pipes and containers suggests a controlled method for the detoxification or filtering of medicinal compounds to treat specific illnesses.
Systemic Treatment: The illustration likely depicts a cyclical process where medicinal extracts are prepared, used in bathing treatments, and then collected in a final reservoir, showing a complete therapeutic cycle.
Educational & Secure Context: The complexity of the diagram and the grouping of elements suggest that this was a master-to-student guide. It was likely kept complex to prevent misuse of the medicinal knowledge by unauthorized individuals.
Color Coding: The distinct use of colors across the herbs and apparatus appears to be a method for the categorization and standardization of medicinal ingredients.
