Munich S-bahn tickets

Hello! I’m currently in Munich and want to use the DiscoverEU pass on the S-bahn, but the times and final destinations of the S-bahn trains on the DiscoverEU app rarely match up with the ones that are arriving at the station. My guess is that since they are arriving so often (every 2 minutes or so), that they are delayed or something along the lines, but how can I activate the right ticket then if the train isn’t right? Is there a possibility that I can activate the ticket of a S-bahn going the same direction as I want to, but with a different end destination and it’s still correct if a controller checks? Thanks!

TUM Management & Data Science vs. Math BSc at home for a future Data Science Master’s?

I’m stuck in a huge dilemma for my Bachelor's and need some honest advice.

I am an EU student and my goal is to pursue a Master’s in Data Science (or Math/Stats) later on. Right now, I’m deciding between two paths:

  1. BSc Mathematics at my home university (lower ranked globally than TUM, ~300. QS).
  2. BSc Management & Data Science at TUM.

My main worry is that TUM’s program is heavy on business/management, which might restrict me from meeting the strict Math/CS ECTS prerequisites for pure Data Science or Math Master’s programs (e.g., at TUM or LMU). On the flip side, the Math degree at home gives me all the prerequisites and solid math fundamentals, but I'd be skipping the chance to go abroad for my BSc right away.

  • Is TUM’s Management & Data Science BSc too "soft" if I want to do a technical Data Science Master's later?
  • Is it realistic to plug the math/CS gap with electives at TUM?
  • Given my goals, would you build a strong math foundation at home first and aim for a top Master's abroad, or take the TUM offer now?

Thank you!

management and data science curriculum

hello! i’ve applied for the management and data science bsc at tum heilbronn this winter semester (haven’t got accepted yet since i’m still waiting on my vpd). i specifically chose this programme because i’m really interested in the data science and mathematics, but i’ve now heard that it’s more management/business heavy and the data science part is more of an afterthought (although the curriculum seemed quite balanced). i’m hoping to work in the data science field in the future, so barely learning about it in my bachelors is kind of a deal breaker for me. can anyone share their experiences with the programme? thanks!
