Accidentally Added Parents to Medi Assist Corporate Insurance — Stuck in 3 Year Lock-in, Any Way Out?

Need advice regarding Medi Assist corporate insurance lock-in.
I added my parents to my company group medical insurance through Medi Assist, but I genuinely didn’t know there was a 3-year lock-in period for dependent coverage. Now I’m trying to remove them because the premium deduction is becoming too expensive, but HR/insurance team says removal is not possible due to the lock-in.
The issue is, they’re saying a confirmation email was sent during enrollment, but I never saw or acknowledged any such email. I also wasn’t aware that adding dependents would bind me for 3 years.
Has anyone faced something similar with Medi Assist or corporate insurance policies? Were you able to remove dependents early through escalation, exceptions, or any workaround?
Would really appreciate any guidance.
