What happens to Hermès bags with older stamps?

What happens to Hermès bags with older stamps?

With the new stamp coming soon, I’ve been wondering what happens to bags with older stamps that are still around.

Do they simply stay available until someone chooses them, or does anything change once the new stamp starts appearing?

I’ve also seen people say they’d rather wait for the newer stamp, which made me curious how much it actually matters.

Personally, if the color and specs were exactly what I wanted, I don’t think an older stamp would stop me.

Would it matter to you?

Three names I keep seeing: Miss An, Vivi & Miss Q!

I keep seeing these three names come up in different bag discussions, so I thought I’d put together a few of the recurring impressions I’ve noticed.

This isn’t a ranking, just a summary of patterns I’ve picked up from photos and community posts. Different pieces can vary, so I’d still look at each one individually.

Miss An — shape & consistency

Things that seem to come up most:

  • Birkin and Kelly styles
  • Clean, structured silhouettes
  • Fairly even stitching and edge work
  • Classic leather and color combinations

What stands out most to me is the overall shape, especially the front profile and handle placement.

I’d still look closely at smaller details like the hardware finish and construction, since the overall silhouette is only one part of the picture.

My impression:
Shape and consistency seem to be the two things people mention most.

Vivi — details & variety

Things I see mentioned:

  • A wider mix of styles
  • Constance, Halzan, Kelly and Birkin
  • Different color combinations
  • Plenty of close-up photos

There are usually enough angles to look at the side profile, stitching, hardware, edges and interior rather than relying on a single front photo.

I also think each style needs to be looked at a little differently. A Constance and a Birkin don’t really have the same points to focus on.

My impression:
Variety is probably what stands out most, so I’d look at each piece separately rather than use one style to judge everything else.

Miss Q — range & less-common combinations

Things that seem to come up:

  • Picotin, Kelly and Birkin
  • Shoes and smaller accessories
  • Brighter or less-common colors
  • Different leather textures

Color and leather texture seem to get a lot of attention, especially with softer leather or unusual shades.

I’d be a little careful judging color from indoor photos alone, since lighting can change both the tone and how the grain appears.

My impression:
Probably the hardest of the three to put into one category because the range is fairly broad.

If I had to sum it up:

Miss An: shape / consistency
Vivi: variety / detail photos
Miss Q: range / leather & color

Those aren’t fixed labels, just the patterns I’ve noticed most often.

Curious if others have noticed the same things, especially when looking at similar styles side by side.

Leather choice changes a color more than I expected.

Something I notice constantly when comparing our swatches: choosing the color is only half the decision.

Put the same color family on two different grains and suddenly the saturation, depth and even the undertone can read differently.

7T Electric Blue is probably the clearest example in this set.

It makes me curious — when you're choosing, do you decide on the color first or the leather first?

6 Hermès colors that feel perfect for spring and summer.

The tricky part with these softer shades is that the leather can change the color almost as much as the lighting does. A shade that looks cool and muted on one leather can appear warmer or brighter on another.

PSPs for the bag I didn’t plan on choosing.

I happened to notice this one in some photos Vivi shared, and the unusual texture immediately caught my attention. It’s completely different from what I normally choose, but I kept going back to it.

The PSPs came in today. The overall shape looks balanced to me, and I like how the markings continue across the body and handles. I’ve mostly been checking the handle bases, center strap, edges and bottom corners.

Would appreciate another pair of eyes in case I missed anything.

My aunt said I could pick one. I wasn’t prepared for all three to be this cute.

She recently got these three and told me I could choose one.

I thought I’d decide right away, but seeing them together only made it harder. The grey is soft and easy to wear, the yellow is playful, and the red has so much personality. I keep changing my mind.
