Our family changed ever since INC came into the picture
So i am 19 years old and just saw this sub from Reddit Philippines. Currently studying and still under the care of my mom. I am religious and attending a Christian youth group that is different from INC.
So the problem is a few years ago my mom converted to INC, me and my siblings do not have any problems with that, she can believe whatever she wants as they support whatever we believed in. But the problem is over time i feel that she's become too eager to convert us too, she's changed and she even told us that it will be a big problem if we don't convert. Many times, she invites a young preacher with his assistant to come over and forces us to listen. I am very active in my church and i do not want to convert to INC, but they are relentless for a year now. I dislike them because of their frequent edgy jokes. I think that they are pressuring my mother to force us to convert.
Ever since her conversion everything has changed for the worse, our budget is messed up and she has become more angry at times. We had intense shouting sessions, i do not want that because i really love my mother but most of the time she's just too much. This religion is not beneficial at all to our fam. We dedicated half of sunday for family time, we used to go out before or after church but now we barely get to see her
I can't help wondering if they are manipulating my mom by taking advantage of our grief. My dad passed a few years ago. I want my mom back.
Tldr: father passed away, inc came into the picture, converted my mom, she changed for the worse and is always forcing us to convert even if we are active in our respective religion. Inc is manipulating my mother and i think this religion exacerbated her grief.
