I tried to host a COADF2 release party in Detroit. Here’s what happened..

From Friday July 3rd: Less than 2 weeks ago I (purple shorts pictured) decided to throw a Madonna album release party because I thought it was crazy that no one in Detroit was doing one. Fast forward to today and a rain storm knocked the power out at the bar. 🙃🙃🙃We had NO power the ENTIRE night! But that didn’t stop us. The people that came out and stayed with us! Some as far as Flint and Clarkston—so kool. We were all out on the patio with candles, mini lights and battery powered DJ equipment (we went through FOUR different speakers!) just dancing away to Madonna’s new record. It was so joyous and silly. I purposely didn’t listen to the album beforehand so this was all my first memory of hearing these new songs. We made it happen! *plays “Love Sensation” *

Join us for a Confessions II album release party on Friday July 3rd at 8 PM. Hosted by Nicholas Calderon and DUANE. DJ Simon Black will be playing the new album in full and spinning mixes of her classic hits. Plus, we’ll have Madonna-themed drinks and raffle prizes up for grabs! Don’t be a vibe kill…come out and celebrate the Queen!

HALO bar is a friendly LGBT centered space with serious DJs, great sound and video screens. Arrive early at 8 and stay late! Bar closes at 2AM. Ages 21+
