Not releasing Danceteria would be like keeping Hung Up as an album track

Why are her team sitting on this?! I love everything about this era but the ‘single’ choices have made no sense. I can’t think of any album of hers where the single choices have been so poor

They obviously care about numbers by roping in Sabrina, so why not release the song that’s the clear favourite among fans/the general public?

Lukewarm take: Both albums are great but could've benefited from a tighter visual identity.

Okay, clickbaity title out of the way... The art is okay, for me it's subjective. If you like it, good.

Now on to the meaty stuff... I see no point in comparing both albums. They were produced at two different stages of her career, two different spaces for the fans. Both are great and are definitely stand outs in her discography. Let's enjoy the music we have and celebrate this new height we've arrived at

What's with the sudden Madame X slander?

I remember the release of this album very vividly as it being hailed as a "return to form" for Madonna fans. Especially the people who enjoyed albums like American Life, and her other more experimental stuff. Personally, after 7 years, I still go to it a lot. Especially the international "deluxe" songs. I remember being on this sub and only reading praise after praise, now suddenly Confessions II is out and I only see it being dubbed as her worst album? It's not even close to being her worst. Strange behaviour.

One can only dream… these would have been better official album covers imo for Confessions II

I love the veil and the pics, but I don’t feel that image is the strongest representation of the album, but the Grindr version. Is absolutely otherworldly.

I even love the Bilt cover, and I can easily see it representing the album. Madonna lying on the dance floor, exhausted, staring toward the horizon, lost after giving everything she had on the dance floor.

The photos assigned for Kiko’s campaign tell such a compelling story as well…

I really want to highlight Rafael Pavarotti’s work. It has made me love this album even more, beyond it simply being Madonna’s music. Every visual has been so on point. I just wish these had been the official cover artworks.

I made these mockups just now. Don’t mind the vinyl desings.

Really nice to see her being giving the love and respect she deserves 🥹

I’ve been a Madonna fan since like 2018 when I really got into her (I was born in 2000 so I didn’t grow up during her peak and had to introduce myself to her music) and have been a diehard ever since. She’s the greatest to ever do it. Full stop. I experienced Madame X as it came out and while I enjoyed it, it didn’t come close to her prior brilliance. I will say I stand firmly on the fact that it’s ridiculous that countless male artists release shit albums and that doesn’t tarnish their legacy but for Madonna it does?
Her run of albums from Like A Prayer through to Confessions on a Dance Floor is unparalleled and even if she never released another great album we would always have that. And now shes released confessions 2 and I’m getting emotional and I’ve not even been a longtime fan like lots of you have it’s just really nice to get to see her being treated with the respect she deserves as an artist who has constantly innovated and shapeshifted and made music that for nearly twenty years was of uniformly high quality so even if she never had another great album she would still be the greatest to ever do it but this one is the cherry on top and a reminder to everyone who has dismissed her and acted as if a couple okay albums erased all the great work she’s done that she’s Madonna bitch and put some respect on her name 😭

I tried to host a COADF2 release party in Detroit. Here’s what happened..

From Friday July 3rd: Less than 2 weeks ago I (purple shorts pictured) decided to throw a Madonna album release party because I thought it was crazy that no one in Detroit was doing one. Fast forward to today and a rain storm knocked the power out at the bar. 🙃🙃🙃We had NO power the ENTIRE night! But that didn’t stop us. The people that came out and stayed with us! Some as far as Flint and Clarkston—so kool. We were all out on the patio with candles, mini lights and battery powered DJ equipment (we went through FOUR different speakers!) just dancing away to Madonna’s new record. It was so joyous and silly. I purposely didn’t listen to the album beforehand so this was all my first memory of hearing these new songs. We made it happen! *plays “Love Sensation” *

🗣️There’s nothing that we cannot do! 💜🪩

Confessions II > Confessions I

I love Confessions on a Dance Floor with all my heart, but Confessions II hits me in a way the original never did.

It gives me euphoria, nostalgia, joy, heartbreak, hope, all at the same time!

The lyrics are also far more personal, revealing a side of Madonna we never got on the original.

I genuinely never thought she'd top Confessions... but here we are.

Convinced Jellybean is the man with the Brando face

He was also probably one of those Puerto Rican boys that made her crazy 🤣

Confessions 2 Release Party in Sao Paulo, Brazil

We had the whole album played nonstop and nothing but Madonna before and after. Plus a few remixes from the album too. Just thought you guys should know how we partied to Confessions 2 down here.

I feel like Madonna wrote “Fragile” for all the gays

The song is a very moving tribute to Christopher and I am *not* looking to take away from that.

But honestly, I wonder if Madge knew how much it would speak to all her gays. She gets us like no other and I think she knew what she was doing.

Does it speak to anyone else? Maybe it’s universal and not just for us gays.

L.E.S. GIRL EXPECTATIONS

I literally thought this is going to be a song about WLW and stuff. What she was thinking by that title lol hahahahah. When in reality it's the most matronal song in album

New unreleased song title

Arca gave us the title of a song that didn’t make the cut, probably one of the 8 songs M war referring to in the interviews. Do you think that we’ll hear the song someday?

Why Is the Confessions 2 Standard CD Sticker So Crooked?!

I have OCD, so this is driving me insane lol. Also, where’s the album booklet?! 😭

I’m obsessed with the disc design, but this sticker placement is testing me spiritually. Did anyone else’s copy come like this, or did mine get assembled during an earthquake?

I’m so hooked on 'Everything' - how do I even quit it? 🥺

Actually, I don’t regret a thing.

To me, it’s an incredibly gloomy, dark track but with hope at the end. It sounds strikingly modern and not pop at all (unlike BYL). I see it as an attempt to work through hatred by going through all the stages of grief, and in the end, searching for some hope of salvation even in those dark corners of the soul. The intro immediately calls back to 'Erotica'. Honestly, I feel like 'Confessions II' is a really dark album compared to what we got on 'Confessions on a Dance Floor' - there’s a moment of hope, sure, but there’s way more sadness and regret
