I absolutely love and think almost daily about Feist’s My Moon My Man when they show the progression of their relationship. The cadence of the song is just perfect.

So for context I didn’t rewatch this show after it finished back in 2016 until this very moment and I can’t believe I took so long. It’s seared into my mind so I still remember the quotes and some episodes so vividly and omg I can’t believe it’s been 10 freaking years since this show ended. How. In. The. World. HOW?

The world we lived back then was so different and I was just entering high school, I’m 26 now and life is just too sad. I’m so sad. Sigh.

I guess I’ll just enjoy and cherish it again.

If you pay attention it was super simple back then, no internet, no social media, and that’s only the surface. Many of us have memories when the show was actually airing, probably high school or college, the music takes you back to that time… sigh. It was just so different and better, and I don’t mean to sound like those boomers who think times were better back then… but they were.

Why or why not?

I haven’t had a loss in my close family so I really don’t know how it feels. I don’t know if it’s an insensitive topic to ask but I really sometimes have this fear of losing my mother or my grandmother and just becoming old without them. I know it’s irrational because it’ll likely be like that. So I’m asking you if you still think about your late grandmother, or your late wife, father, son… etc. even after all this time… how do you cop with it? Do you still cry for them every here and there?

I often catch myself saying out loud “hostess with the mostess” from Dorinda RHONY lmao my family is TIRED and “don’t be all like… uncool” to anything that is well, uncool. And so many more, these ladies are so part of my life idk if it’s good or bad lol
