Aphex Twin reference in Bjork Music Video "Human Behaviour"

I hope im not delusional. Pay attention to the eyes of the bear.

If it helps, Debut came out in 1993, a year after Aphex Twin dropped "Selected Ambient Works Vol. 85-92".

Is there any song that sounds like the drum solo at the end of "Crystalyne"?

im so I'm totally obsessed with the song. Something similar might be Portishead's "Machine Gun," or some rarities, B-sides, remixes from Post or Homogenic . What do you recommend?

Outside of Björk, where does your music taste land?

I believe an artist alone can't really tell what your music taste is like. But in Björk's case, or rather, in our case as her fans, I'm curious to find out how most of you would describe your own taste.

In my case, Arca has gotten the #1 status on my spotify, dethroning Björk to 2. I enjoy her a lot really, and I find myself more drawn to her artistry. I think Arca pushes abstraction just a little further, and lately that's exactly what I've been craving. Another artist or rather a band I strangely find similar to Björk's ultimate creativity, are the Swans. You might have heard them, you might have not, but their album Soundtracks for the Blind is one of my fav finds. Totally fucked up, but I guess music comforts the disturbed, too.

Genre wise, it's mostly experimental & noise music and art-pop (kinda ?).

Some other artists I'd like to share (coming from experimental and noise music) are Sd Laika, Lotic (who Björk has actually collabed with in Notget remix !), and of course, Eartheater. To be exact, I hope y'all give Eartheater some love, in case you haven't already. One could argue that she and Björk share some musical traits or artistry around their world building.

What other artists, albums, or genres do you gravitate toward? I'm really interested to see whether there's a common thread between us, or if we all arrived here from completely different musical worlds.

The captions in Atopos are fully handwritten by Björk

This is probably common knowledge but I wanted to point it out anyway

I’m confused as to why Army of Me is one of her biggest songs

Really big Bjork fan here. This song since I first heard it came across as kind of whatever and it still, after years, hasn’t grown on me. Yet I still see diehard Bjork fans put it in their top 10 lists. Can someone enlighten me on why they like it or why it’s so popular? I’m not trying to be a hater, and if you love this song I’m happy for you, I just feel like she has so many better songs

Finally got some KUKL into the collection!

I’ve been needing to get both KUKL and Tappi Tíkarrass albums in my collection, but the Tappi albums are so expensive nowadays 😭
