At this moment of time, there are two tribute acts that I would consider very good and credible tribute acts of George Michael.
The first of course being Rob Lamberti, who has dedicated years to perfecting the act as close as possible and preserving the love of George Michael which has been amazing to see when I would read the comments for his online content.
The second would be Steve Michell, who I think also does a good job of performing as George Michael, the original bassist of Wham! Dave West also endorses and plays with him on tour circuits which I believe gives him credibility.
I believe tribute acts can be a very good thing if done right and the time and devotion is put towards, 90% of what I see is a singer looking at tributes and saying “I can easily do that” and just throw on a costume from Amazon without any care or attention to detail.
I just thought it was an interesting subject as I know a lot of people find tributes quite poor in taste or cringe at the mention of them, but would love to know other own opinions on this.
Back in the early 2000s, my wife mentioned that George Michael (GM) was on her top 5 must see list. So when his 25 Alive tour was announced, I knew I had to step up and get her great seats.
I found out that one must be a member of the GM Fan Club in order to get in on the ticket pre-sale, so I ponied up the $40 and joined the club.
I wanted this to be a night to remember so I kicked down $600 for two floor seats to the opening night of the tour in San Diego. Since her birthday and our anniversary are just 6 days apart, this would be a gift for both occasions. Things were tight back then for us, and this was a big extravagance.
Shortly before the tour, a rather large box arrived. I didn't remember ordering anything, and one can imagine my surprise to find two GM 25 Alive backpacks and 2 silicone bracelets with USB drives tucked into them. The USB drives contained 25 music videos.
To this day, that was one of the greatest shows we've attended, and we are both so happy we got to see him, before it was too late.
WHO is the woman who is speaking on the "answering machine" in the intro to Battlestations?? I personally strongly believe her to be Naomi Campbell....
Just like MJ, Elvis, Freddie of Queen (rock band not Deltarune) and Elton John have their biopics, why not a George Michael one??
I chose the ones that looked most alike Yog,Andy,Chorus line and Selmo ❤️
What do you guys think? (Don't leave me in flop)

I obviously like his others songs but I think these are my top 3 rn bc it’s always changing. I want to hear other peoples favorites pls recommend me ur fav songs of his! I’ll listen to anything :)
I love the fact the George and Stevie had a special friendship. George said that he liked to cover Stevie’s songs because they were the right pitch for him and were also brilliant.
the only song that's not really that great is cowboys and angels. it's pretty underwhelming especially compared to the rest. but it's still not bad. it kind of fits Older better rather than LWP. the best song from this album is obviously praying for time but then waiting is a close second. so good
Who are the two girls on the left in the video for Wake me up before you Go Go. Obviously the two on the right are Pepsi and Shirley. Were the two on the left actual singers for the band at some point or were they just actors for the video? I have always wondered who they are.
I was shocked to find someone had uploaded the full Madison Square Garden 1991 C2C show in great quality last year and remarkably it's still up!
Arguably one of his finest live performances with terrific versions of Mother's Pride, Waiting for That Day, They Won't Go, acoustic Freedom 84 and lots more (setlist here)
Note: though the description says October 25, 1991, it's actually the October 26 show (as George says it's Saturday and references the performance from the previous night).
So see/grab it before it disappears.
Hi Lovelies!
I have been a fan of George Michael for 4 years. In this time, I have engaged in his work, social media and fanpages such as this one discussing him as an artist. What I'm curious to know is if there is any official biographical media about him that has been approved by him or his estate posthumously.
Thank you for the help!!
(I've watched documentaries, especially the one made about last Christmas that was released in 2025 which involved Andrew Ridgeley! I've also seen interviews by David Austin and other figures in his life musically. I'm more thinking about writing, if that helps condense my question. Sorry if it doesn't! 😭😭)

From the History Vol. 1 set...
Brother Jermaine sang the tune at Mike's funeral....
not a dry eye in the place... *sigh ...
Did George Michael ever sing this melody??
I can imagine George's fans shed some tears.
