Just finished the show and Lynette, you will always be my favorite!
Wow, what a wild ride 😭 This show has easily become one of my favorites, I’m honestly obsessed.
Lynette is definitely my favorite housewife. She’s constantly overwhelmed with the kids, marriage, and life in general, but still manages to hold everything together in her own chaotic way. She’s not perfect by any means, but I think she just feels the most grounded to me and I genuinely love her character.

I was fed up with Disney consistently delaying (never) the release of the complete series on Blu Ray 1080p HD
This set is fantastic for anyone who enjoys it! The picture quality is excellent. Since I probably won’t ever get a Blu-ray release, I chose this instead.

Watching season 2 ep: 11. Why is everyone acting like it’s okay for gabby to kiss Lynette husband ??? Joke or not why ??? Because I’m sure if Lynette kissed Mike or kissed Carlos it would’ve been an issue. But genuinely… I never understood the amount of hate Susan gets.
Like okay, she could be messy and emotional sometimes, but people act like she was some kind of villain when she really… wasn’t???
She was a good friend, a caring partner most of the time, and honestly had one of the most genuine relationships with her child out of all the moms on the show. Was she a perfect mom? No. But none of them were 😭 and Julie clearly loved her a lot, even if their dynamic was a little trauma-bond coded sometimes lol.
Idk maybe I’m one of the 20 Susan defenders left alive but I’ll stand by this forever.

First time watcher of DH. I’m on S6 currently (the plane crash just happened), but DAMN did the creators hate Lynette? I swear, out of every character on the show, she has been put through the wringer 😩 she has the worst luck!!!! I really tried to understand her like I get wanting to know your dad (i don't really because I don't even wanna know mine after what he did to my mum) but she kinda took it to the next level. at first I understood her because Katherine would kinda lash out every time Dylan asked about her dad but even after Katherine told her that he was abusive she still went out of her way to bring him into their lives. she even showed them where they live specifically after Katherine told her not to. she just lost me from there

The low-key pros of Gaby being so self-absorbed and vain
Hear me out on this one. I am not saying we should all go out and become the person that Gaby is, and we obviously all know the massive repercussions Gaby faces throughout the show because of her ego. But looking back at the early seasons, I actually think her vanity and self-absorption served as her ultimate superpower, especially when dealing with Carlos (in the first 2 seasons), and Victor, who are both conniving and manipulative.

Tom’s daughter
I’m rewatching Desperate Housewives and there are things I don’t fully remember, but somehow all the feelings of frustration came back instantly… and somehow it’s always because of Tom Though this time not directly because of him, but because of his daughter.
I’ve seen some comments saying they sympathize with her because her mom died and blah blah blah, but I’m sorry, that girl was genuinely mean and not just after her mother died, she was already like that before. She was completely aware of the things she did.
And then there’s useless Tom, who can’t give a single ounce of proper attention to her, while Lynette has to deal directly with the consequences of Tom having a child outside their marriage. Honestly? The slap Lynette gave her felt satisfying to me because if my husband’s daughter threatened to hurt one of my kids, I probably would’ve reacted too.
Yes, her behavior is concerning, but what worries me even more is that Tom is NEVER truly a present father, not even with the children he has with Lynette.
What do you all think about his daughter? And what do you think about Tom’s behavior in all this? Also, spoilers don’t matter to me because I genuinely don’t remember… but does Tom ever actually DO something? Does he ever realize how serious his daughter’s behavior is?
