Day 1 removed the West coast and most of the midwest states.
Day 2 removed the South/former confederate.
Day 3 removed the other midwest states and western great lakes states.
Day 4 removed all states containing parts of NYC and the eastern great lakes states.
Day 5 removed Connecticut, Rhode Island and parts of Vermont and New Hampshire.
Day 6 removed the rest of Vermont and New Hampshire as well as small parts of Maine.
Day 7 removed northern Maine.
Day 8 removed Cumberland, Androscoggin, Sagadahoc, Lincoln and Kennebec.

Squarest county (and equivalent) in each state
Your daily dose of useless information: the squarest county in each state (some I had a hard time figuring out which one to do so states like Iowa I just did random, others like South Dakota I did the largest square)
(As a side note, I didn't include rectangles where a more square-ish shape was available, even if it was less of a square than the actual rectangles, cause this is a squarest counties map, not a map of counties with the best four 90 degree angle corners)
