I’ve been a mild Bronwyn apologist for several seasons now – I really did think that most of her “lies” (besides the jewelry thing) were very clearly her downplaying things to protect Todd. I was so excited by her first post-Todd season. And here she is… basically giving nothing besides playing the victim. What gives? I was rooting for you!

Rewatching s5-6 and everyone treating her pretty terribly – it's hilarious. Mary always wants her to shut up. Angie insulted her slutty(?) hair. Meredith went off on her in the sprinter van for no reason. She always thinks she has deeper relationships than she actually does, e.g. Lisa. She is basically there to get hated on by the cast. She is the Meg of rhoslc because nobody asked for her and nobody likes her, yet she manages to stay.
Now this is not me saying she should have been brought back but we don’t credit this woman enough for basically feeling like the audience voice and being the only person who stood up to Jen after Mary was gone. This woman saved my sanity cause it felt so weird seeing all the woman ignore all of the things Jen was being accused off especially Meredith who did a full 180

I am making my way and finally almost caught up and am at the season 6 reunion!! I feel like Andy really hates Meredith? He treats her very differently and perhaps Lisa as well. I know they are saying she throws production under the bus but is that the reason? Andy seems very dismissive of her.
i actually cannot believe this show. the only thing i knew going into it was Jen gets arrested, i thought that would be the most dramatic thing about it but the layers!! and they got a WITNESS from her trial as her replacement?? cinema

Lisa i can't form an solid opinion on, i really didn't like her in the first season but something just clicked with her and now i enjoy watching her scenes... she's so unintentionally complex. "i love culture i'm from new york"

Heather I liked but she has contiunely done questionable things. I really think this show has got to her head (more than it would a regular housewife). The black eye?? even if she was scared of Jen, what she gunna do from prison? she was 100% going to jail at that point and everyone knew it. should've just told everyone and sent her ass to jail early!
Whitney, i still regularly think of Sharrieffs party and why she thought that was a good time to confront Jen but for the sake of television and putting Jen in a bad light, i love her for it. i hope we still see more of her spiritual & tomboy side
Mary and Jen.... two utterly horrible people that unfortunately make great TV. every time they come on screen i'm itching to fast forward but i just can't... they steal the spotlight just by the ridiculousness of it all. but i am 100% glad i get to see these girls without Jen holding hostage now
thank you the random redditor who recommended to NOT start SLC as my first housewives (so far have watched NY, Atlanta, BH, LDN and a little OC/Jersey) because i don't think i would've got this much entertainment without being invested. excited to see what season 4 brings!
I feel like after the dragging of Britani with “high body count hair” everything went to hell. Now majority of the things that come out her mouth is rude and she’s very over the top with her reactions for things that are minor like what Quai actually said about her. She’s becoming another grinch like Heather. Also do you guys think the big head she’s gotten from being on the show is what’s been ruining her marriage? I believe it because even her own daughter gets annoyed with her sometimes especially when she was forcing that Greek storyline down our throats lol.
Watching Whitney this season has made me question the way she now explains some of her past behavior. She talks about sobriety, accountability and making amends, and I can absolutely believe that alcohol made her more impulsive or reckless. But I’m not convinced it was ever the real cause of the problem.
The situation with Ashley Quai is what really made this stand out to me. Ashley didn’t come into the group as a random newcomer. She had a real connection to Whitney and clearly trusted her. Yet almost immediately, Whitney shared embarrassing information about her, repeated things in a way that made them sound worse, and helped create a situation where Ashley was suddenly being confronted by Angie, Heather and Bronwyn.
And this feels very familiar.
Whitney has always had a tendency to take information from one person, bring it to someone else, and then end up right in the middle of the fallout. We’ve seen versions of it with Jen, Meredith, Lisa, Heather and Angie over the years. The details change, but the pattern doesn’t really seem to.
That’s why the sobriety angle is interesting to me. For years, it was easy to blame some of Whitney’s worst moments on alcohol: she was drunk, she misunderstood, she went too far. But now the alcohol is gone, and a lot of the same behavior is still there. I’m starting to think alcool was more of a revealer than a cause.
So if Whitney is now sober and the same patterns of gossip, disloyalty and conflict are still showing up, was alcohol ever really the reason for her behavior or was it simply making a side of her that was always there harder to hide?
She's been envious of Lisa since season 1 and nobody can tell me otherwise. Lisa has her faults but Heather's behavior has become mercurial. (😏).
