I feel traumatized by the horrible comment made by female NP at my appt today
I met with the NP in my OB’s office today to share about my long list of Peri symptoms and give blood for hormone testing ( as well as iron, etc). We got through the entire appt. pretty well, even tho she made an odd comment about my having a journal to take notes (hello brain fog). At the end of the visit, I shared about my low libido and overstimulation (mom of 2 under 5 and nursing still). She responded, “when your kids are that little, it is survival of the fittest. I would tell my husband to just have sex with me while I’m sleeping and that he better not wake me up”. Who says this? It gave me an instant visual and then when she left I started crying. It’s like, forget about minimizing symptoms, my recommendation is that you just get SA’d by your husband. I’m speechless. Worst thing she could have said to me as an SA survivor.
