What Surly do i need

I want to buy my first Surly bike, but am conflicted on what bike i need. I need a bike for riding to work, doing to the store, and go to town and such.

The rides will be around 30min long, and go from smooth pavement, to heavy cobblestone roads and some light gravel here and there.

I also need a flat bar, and al basket in front is a big plus to.

I would love to ride tires of around 40mm wide.

Right now i had my eye on the Preamble, but what do you guys think? :)

Fix or toss...

Hello everybody,

This is my dads old Puch 3 gear moped. When he parked it away in his garage it runned perfectly fine, but that was about 30 years ago, and now (as to be expected) it wil not start up after putting gas in. It would be awesome to get it to run, but i have very little nowledge of mopeds and do not want to invest a ton of money in this.

Would something like this be fixable? Or am i wasting time and should just get rid of it.

Thanks 👋

Steel or carbon

I am looking to buy a new gravel bike, and am stuck between choosing a carbon fiber frame, or a steel frame. Speed matters very little to me, i mostly want a pleasant comfy experience riding gravel, with also the possibility to go bikepacking.

I looked at the Cinelli Speciale gravel, and its my absolute dream bike, but the price makes me think twice...

Are there any people here with experience with steel gravel bikes? I would love to see your bikes.
