bought it in Spain for €180 (see last photos) only need to get fitting pedals (it has kickstart and pedals) and left footrest, other than that everything is finished, machines many new parts, bought new parts, remade most of the frame from scratch, upgraded to 12v ignition sourced spare parts from Spain bla bla bla, used some leftover motip paint used ln my grandma's volkswagen polo to paint it. just need to get it registered as it had no papers.

I have a Tomos where I hear some knocking while walking and at idle. It does not seem to make a problem while riding. Does anyone have any insight into what it could be? Sorry for the background noise.

bought this old sym that was sat 20 years and fully restored it but i want to be able to learn wheelies on it it’s around 120kg and only goes around 38 right now gonna de restrict and make it go 55 anyone got same bike or tips or advice on this ITS MY FIRST BIKE and it’s a 2t i know nothing about them and my mechanic told me i shouldn’t have bought it with no knowledge on them and it keeps breaking on me even after £600 full restoration

Recently I've been working on my Tomos Luxe (2007) trying to have it run from (max) 27 to max 34.

I bought a new exhaust (Tecno STD speedy) and went up in carb jet size from 52 to 56.

It went from a 27km/h, to max 31.5km/h with a very occasional 32km/h.

Spark plug actually looked better than before. Used to be Black before the adjustments.

Then I read somewhere online about removing the tube (aanzuigrubber; see picture) in the air filter. I read that its "good to do" in combination with the carb I have: 14.12.

So, I removed it, and now my Tomos runs 36.5 to 37km/h easily. What a difference! Spark plug also still looking good.

Now in just curious how to bring it down just a tiny bit to have it run max 34km/h due to rules and regulations in the Netherlands.

Anybody have any idea how to bring it down just a tiny bit from 36.5/37 to 34?

Note, I'm only starting to learn how to work on Tomos mopeds. So I'm still a beginner.

Will cutting the tube (aanzuigrubber) do something? Let's say I cut it short? See pic.

I'd love to know how you would go about this.

I am building my own 4 wheeled electric scooter, inspired by, and using parts from, the Citycoco. Having found the front suspension and matching brake pumps, I have a problem between the brake disc and the in-wheel motor. I can find brake discs with 6 mounting holes, but the motor has only 3 holes for mounting.

Having searched and come up empty handed, I can only ask if anyone know of a 168mm disc brake with 3 mounting holes. It would really save my build.

Are these usable?

I tore into the e50 engine of a puch and it’s looking like the previous owner may have attempted to work on this.

Are these parts usable? If not, What should I do to get them usable?

2004 Tomos Targa LX I just picked up this morning. Saw it on marketplace yesterday afternoon and was the first to message about it, met up with them at 9:30.

The woman I bought it from was the original owner who bought it brand new in 2004, and kept it stock. She had all the keys, the oil injection still works, only has 120 kilometres on it, and it even has paperwork which was shocking to me.

It has a small amount of damage from being knocked over but other than a busted front signal light and some dinged up plastics it’s in super good condition. Also came with a trunk for the back which had a parts catalogue in it (which will be incredibly handy).

It runs a little rough, I had to pop open the carb to fix the stuck choke, the exhaust baffle fell out so I temporarily tied it on with some wire, and the rear brake keeps sticking, but nothing a good tune up won’t fix.

I paid $500 CAD for it which was their asking price. Normally I always try to haggle on price whenever I buy anything, but at $500 firm I already felt like it was a steal, plus they both seemed like very nice people.

All in all, I am very satisfied with the purchase. I finally have a Targa that isn’t made of scraps like that Pepsi can abomination I posted earlier this month lol

Which rebuild kit should I get for this ouch maxi bing carburetor? There’s a bunch of different brands and I wasn’t sure if there’s a known tried and true to use.

This exhaust is full of oil, we'd like to remove the thing at the end but it seems stuck. Does anyone have any suggestions.
