Day 300+ colony is stable and I have no idea what I should do next. Any suggestions?
This is my second serious ONI run. My first colony died around cycle 120, so I probably overprepared a little this time lol.
I'm now at cycle 300+ with 12 dupes and the colony feels basically impossible to kill, but I haven't really progressed beyond my starting asteroid yet.
Current situation:
- 12 dupes
- Stable oxygen and temperature
- ~1M kcal stored with deep freezing and with Chlor
- ~300 tons of coal
- Huge natural gas reserve
- ~15 tons of steel
- plastic production established
- Hydrogen, natural gas and Coal power
- Aquatuner + Steam Turbine cooling
- Glossy Drecko ranch
- Hatch ranch
- Iron, Gold and Cobalt volcanoes found
- Several renewable water vents sources / Cool Steam Vents
- Currently building a large wild Sleet Wheat + Bristle Blossom farm for Berry Sludge
- Still haven't used the teleporter to visit the second asteroid
- Haven't started rockets or serious space exploration
At this point I keep finding myself building bigger farms, taming geysers/volcanoes and stockpiling ridiculous amounts of resources instead of actually progressing.
Looking at my base, what would you focus on next?
Should I finally go through the teleporter, start working toward rockets, improve/automate the existing base, or is there something important I'm completely missing?
Feel free to roast the base too. I'm still learning and I'm curious what experienced players would change.
