Diet:

Calories: ~1000 kcal/day (calorie deficit)

Protein: ~50 g/day

Tbh I don't recommend my diet to anyone coz at times I went on pretty ruthless cuts which had time gaps of 24 hours in between meals. So yeah, not recommended.

Workout split:

Monday: Lower body

Tuesday: Upper body and Core

Wednesday: Running 5-6k steps

Thursday: Lower body

Friday: Upper body

Saturday: Running 5-6k steps

Sunday: Rest day

Workout splits:

Upper body:

Lat Pulldowns – 5× 10

Seated Cable Rows – 5 × 12

Dumbbell Rows – 5 × 10

Lower body:

Barbell Squats – 5 × 10

Leg Press – 3 × 12

Walking Lunges – 3 × 12 each leg

Running:

5-6k step runs

I never really did a lot of different exercises but just increased the sets of the same exercises.

I knew I wanted to change. The first two pictures are from my school time and the next 2 are from college.

Med schools are tough but nothing is tougher than your dedication.

If anyone wants any help for weight loss or wanna ask any questions, feel free to ask.

Childfree people of Himachal!

Just wanted to know how popular the CF lifestyle is in Himachal. Are there any people in their 20s who resonate with the childfree ideology? And if yes, what's your reason?

Doctors who own a clinic or hospital

Looking out for doctors who own a clinic or hospital. I'm a final year 1st generation medical student in my family. My parents thought girls have a good life in the medicine field hence they sent me here. Looking out to connect with doctors who are 2nd generation or own a hospital because I want some advice.

Suggest cafes/restaurants for my cousin's (15F) birthday party.

Location- Panchkula, Zirakpur

She wants (preferably) a rooftop birthday party or some 'gurly aesthetic' place for her birthday.

• Food, if decent, is fine ( not much of a priority).

• Crowd that is teenage/child friendly (Not bars/hookah places)

Please please please... I'm desperate there's already so much discussion going on

[For Hire] What kind of internships/work opportunities can a final-year MBBS student get?

I'm a final-year MBBS student looking to gain some experience outside academics and earn a bit on the side.

What internships, remote work, freelance gigs, or part-time opportunities are available for medical students? I'm interested in healthcare, research, content writing, consulting, and startups.

Would love to hear what others have done and what skills are worth building.

Thanks!

Looking for remote healthcare internships!!

Hi everyone,

I'm a 4th-year MBBS student from India with a strong interest in healthcare strategy, management consulting, and business. I'm currently looking for remote internship opportunities where I can contribute while gaining exposure to consulting and strategic problem-solving.

My interests lie particularly in healthcare, life sciences, public health, market research, business analysis, and strategy. Through medical school, I've developed strong research, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, and I'm eager to apply them in a professional setting.

I'm especially interested in remote internships with consulting firms, healthcare startups, health-tech companies, research organizations, or strategy teams.

If you know of any suitable opportunities or have recommendations on where to look, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

Thank you!

Hospital administrators, doctors, and clinic managers: Is OPD crowding a problem worth solving?

I'm 21F, currently in my final year of MBBS, exploring a healthcare operations idea and would love honest feedback from people working in hospitals.

One thing I've consistently observed is that patients often spend hours waiting for OPD consultations, even when the actual consultation lasts only a few minutes. This creates frustration for patients and pressure on doctors and staff.

I'm wondering whether a solution focused on patient flow management would be valuable.

The idea is not just appointment booking (which already exists), but a system that could:

• Predict OPD rush using historical data

• Provide patients with estimated waiting times

• Recommend optimal arrival times

• Help hospitals distribute patient load more efficiently

• Give doctors and administrators visibility into expected patient volume.

My biggest question is:

From a hospital's perspective, what are the main causes of OPD delays today?

And would a hospital actually see value in a system like this, or are there operational realities I'm missing?

I'd especially appreciate insights from:

• Hospital administrators

• Clinic managers

• Consultants

• Resident doctors

• Front-desk/OPD staff

I'm trying to understand whether this is a genuine problem worth solving or just something that looks obvious from the outside.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Beyond clinical medicine

Is there even a Medicine that exists beyond the clinical doors? Outside of the wards,OTs and the OPDs? I have been asking the same question to myself from a very long time. My peers tell me how they find their thrill in an aortic aneurysm repair they last saw Dr. X perform on a man which lasted for more than 7 hours with moments of distress when the patient's vitals suddenly started dropping. I find that cool as well but I never found any thrill in it. I never found myself emotionally moved by them the way other people did. For me medicine existed in stories, ethics, writing, grief, research and strange responsibility of being allowed into someone’s most vulnerable moments.
