What do i expect?
I’m fairly young (under 18) and I just got confirmation from my doctor that I will need surgery this September for my scoliosis. I’m incredibly thankful for how early we’ve caught it, my father, and the help he is giving me. But I’ve yet to have any sort of meeting with my surgeons/doctors yet other than my appointment recently, so I’m pretty uneducated and it’s causing some fear and uncertainty. I just wanted to ask if anyone had any advice, or tips to help ease the pre surgery stress 😅, my spine curves in a S shape and both angles are 50 degrees or higher and i’m not sure how bad that is, I’m somewhat fit and decently flexible so I was hoping to regain almost all of my mobility after the operation but after skimming through this sub and remembering what my doctor said, I’m not so certain anymore. I appreciate your time and please give me some advice, I have a lot of questions about how it will affect my height/growth, and more.
