I've been toiling with this question in my head for a while after a conversation I had with a preacher friend where we were discussing people leaving Christianity, and that being evidence that the religion is not true. He sited the bible (not sure what passage) that some people are "with the flock" not "in the flock" referring to the flock of Christ. I pointed out that this is a No True Scotsman fallacy but after some more conversation and thinking I have come to the conclusion that it isn't the same. Is there a name for this fallacy, if it is one?

I was wondering if the only way that a christian can tell if another is a true christian is through either divine revelation or when the other leaves the faith.

There is a guy at our local lgs that I'm like 105% sure is cheating among other things it's a lot honestly ive played him several times and every time he has the best starting hands. His zombie deck he played Friday night? 4 games he opens the same 2 turns the same way each time we cut his deck still the same it's untapped dual land, sol ring, second turn, another land, swiftfoot boots, and another rock like signet. Then he brings out a commander rogues passage and kills us 1 by one with commander damage we can't stop.

His elves? Turn 3 colossal dreadmaw every time seriously 4 games in a row

Rin and seri? Regal caracal comes in turn 3 blinks 8 times and we all diie from 4 hundred doggos.

Bumbleflower is the worst by far he runs voltron bunny and I hate it.

Ive mentioned a few times he needs softer decks to play with us but there are to few people around to actually fill a pod otherwise and he is very uptight in saying he doesn't cheat.

Only time ive seen him lose was when I played eldrazi and the new player didn't know how to target priority and I swung him out with annihilator.

Tldr: guy only plays bracket 7+ into our low 7s high 7s always has a perfect hand and ends the game by turn 6 or less.

Just told a podmate about this post and ive figured it out sorry to bother yall apparently the guy believes infinite partial mulligan are legal and this guy's been playing since 97 so imma go yell at him ty yall

I've clarified that by infinite partial mulligan he means he gets to pick his starting hand, he said that Richard Garfield divinely ordained him to do it so it's fine.
