Growing out a beard for the first time in my life to escape baby face

Howdy Folks! I wanted to come here and seek some advice regarding my beard that I am growing out for the first time in my life to escape being carded and being told im 18(28). I was in the Army for 6 years and finally unbrainwashed myself to let it go.

My questions are

  1. I am currently four and half weeks in and was wondering what the timeline is to get cleaned up or if you recommend me do it now.

  2. My cheeks and sides are growing alot slower than the other portions. Any tips?

  3. what beard oil do yall recommend? Its getting super scratchy and dry.
