Y'all inspired me

Not new to dumpster diving, as my dad was a metal scrapper till he decided he was too old to be doing it, and sometimes he'd swing by a promising dumpster while my brother and/or I were in the truck.

It just wasn't a hobby that I'd picked up. Even though I won't walk past a curb pile without giving it at least a peek.

Tonight, however, after seeing all y'all's posts, I was inspired to walk behind the local shopping plaza on my way home.

The Dollar Tree dumpster was absolutely overflowing! Thankfully a friend of mine was willing to come give me a ride, although she was too antsy to do more than a few minutes of rummaging.

There's still SO much left behind. We barely scratched the surface.

They must've been cleaning out the back room. All the food was in stock boxes. Some still sealed. Most of it is months out of date, so I can't donate it, but I know enough people that don't gaf whom I can share with. Sadly the Circus Peanuts are about rock hard. They'll mostly end up in the compost.

Found last night

Was walking home after work last night when I found this 6ft folding table wedged between two trashcans in the alley. Has a few minor cracks and I'll have to bend the one metal piece back into shape and rig a bolt to replace the busted grommet but I am quite pleased. Don't know what brand it is but it's a heavy one.
