Dolby Atmos not working
Hi!
Last week I got a Samsung LS03FA TV and Samsung HW-Q995F soundbar, both from 2025.
Info on the display on the Soundbar says dolby digital+ and I cannot for the life of me get it up to Dolby Atmos, even when specifically playing a Dolby Atmos movie from Disney+. (Inside out 2)
I've used the HDMI cable that came with the soundbar that is supposed to be good enough for Dolby Atmos and inserted it in the HDMI eARC slot on both soundbar and TV.
TV settings.
Sound device: Q series soundbar (HDMI-eARC)
Audio Output: Q-Series Soundbar (HDMI-eARC)
Soundmode: "Surround" though I've tried them all back and forth
Q Symphony: On by default and I cannot change it. if I try to change it to Stereo, message says no supported device.
HDMI-eARC-mode: auto
Sound format: auto (Pass through is greyed out and when I try to select it, it says "this function is not available")
Dolby Atmos is also greyed out and blue-marked as if it is on, also says "this function is not available.
The TV was updated to the latest available firmware upon connecting to my WIFI (I've since connected it physically by cable if that is in any way relevant)
Firmware version: 1296
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.
