Got hit head on while trying to turn left on yellow/red. 00's f250 floored it through the light and hit me.
I spun 180 and my Milwaukee packouts in the bed went flying about 50ft down the road. Your tonneau cover won't hold up in a crash. Strap your shit down!
Also there's a recently new product out by BGUCAR to add an A pillar handle to the driver's side. Yes my side curtain airbag went off and it was designed well. That product has my support.
Steel bumpers don't do shit for crashes like this. My Body Armor Hiline bumper & winch are gone; barely recognizable in the front end. If you think it'll help, maybe in parking lots. But serious crashes? Rethink it. I think I would have preferred the extra energy absorption especially because this was a highway mile-eater, not an off road rig.
Seat jackers didn't affect the knee airbags and no injuries there (5'10" 175lbs), approved.
My injuries were a bloody hand, airbag burns on my left elbow, forehead impact, and woke up this morning with my right shoulder hurting along with the while right side of my body. ER was a mile away so I had my gf drive me there after I was done at the scene. Saved 5k that way lol. Got cleared by xray and CT. Taking the week off to figure out everything else.
