Has anyone watched the Simpsons recent episode on bipolar?

Kirk has a manic episode and depression! I was kinda triggered by it, but also appreciated the representation and comedic relief at some points :)

I wonder what others thought about it

What are your thoughts on drinking?

Obviously it is recommended not to drink while medicated, since it messes with the efficacy… but I’m not sure if this is a steadfast rule? Is a glass of wine at dinner going to make me spiral? Can I never touch alcohol again…

What are your takes?

I feel like weed and SSRIs were the root cause of my diagnosis. I remember smoking way more on sertraline and taking the wrong dose of my SSRIs (almost double). Leading up to my mania I had stopped taking my SSRIs and eating…

I want to get reevaluated because I doubt that I would’ve become bipolar without those circumstances.

Has anyone ever gotten their diagnosis overturned?
