[Acne] I stopped blindly using my older sister's skincare. My progress after actually learning about my skin.

Growing up, I knew nothing about skincare. My older sister would just handed me a Neutrogena cleanser that I didn't even know I had to wash off. My acne got worse and I honestly thought my skin was just broken. I was ruining my skin barrier because I didn't understand what I was using or how the products worked together.

I hit my breaking point after seeing my skin turn into pepperoni pizza. I stopped using the products that were just handed to me and starting going down the skincare rabbit hole. I've tried several products, but this is the one I'm using currently. My biggest tip is, be consistent, that will be your biggest asset.

Skin Type & Concerns

My skin type is generally oily, combination, + acne prone. My biggest concerns were acne and a severely damaged skin barrier. Also to prevent my skin from worsening. After two to three years, my barrier is healed, my acne has cleared up, and my main focus now is prevention and hydration.

AM Routine

  • Senka Foam Cleanser: Use in it first to clear off dirt.
  • Azelaic Acid: I use this as my Vitamin C "replacement" for the mornings and it has worked incredibly well. It was one of the biggest erasers to my acne.
  • Red Bean Moisturizer: you can be generous with this. it's good for oily skin types as it keeps hydration in very well.
  • Sunscreen: Be generous. UV is a big thing for skin barrier repairing.

PM Routine

  • Senka Foam Cleanser: Use in it first to clear off dirt after a long day.
  • Centella Ampoule: it hydrates my skin like crazy, giving a glass skin look.
  • Eye Revive Serum: Since I'm 22, with dark circles from working and my collagen production decreases, this has helped me a lot keep my eyes not dead looking lol.
  • Red Bean Moisturizer: you can be generous with this. it's good for oily skin types as it keeps hydration in very well.

That's it. I hope I can inspire anyone who is struggling with their skin. It can definitely be a long journey, but I believe in you guys.
