Do any of you go through this? My narc mother torments me. She's incredibly difficult/mean and it's gotten SO much worse now that she's elderly. When I break down or show her that I'm upset, she laughs in my face. Is this a nervous issue (this is what my cousin says) or is she just cruel? I think the latter.

I'm 60, she's 88. She's laughed at me ever since I was a young child.
