Best super auto to pair with semi auto on coffee bar
The title says it all, but I am after the best espresso possible on a super auto, accepting it will not be quite as good as what i can acheive on my semi auto setup. I'm in Australia, budget not too big of a concern.
There are just days where I want the on demand convenience of a super auto. Our workplace has one and I use it frequently - it's a De'Longhi Eletta Explore. Makes lovely coffee - like a oncentrated shot of coffee that isn't quite the mouthfeel of espresso, but still has the balance and flavours that I like in espresso. It honestly could do the job more than often. If I was doing milk drinks, I wouldn't hesitate to stay with my super auto: the shots are bigger, deeper and bolder and cut through milk beautifully, but usually I just want an espresso.
It should be reasonably compact - ie, no milk coolers etc. It has to share a coffee bar. It should also have profiles so it can allow guests less competent in the semi auto space to make their own cuppa.
I have been looking at Jura as opinions online suggest they are best for espresso drinkers like myself. But they come at a premium price tag. If not a Jura, I've also been considering a De'Longhi Rivelia as it fits the bean swapping I do with my single dose grinder. But even despite the cost of Jura I'd much prefer to buy it once and buy it right. I'd get an Eletta Explore but they're not far beind the Jura E8 or even C8 in terms of price.
