I’m trying to improve my stream quality and I wanted to share my current setup and also get feedback from people who are more experienced with OBS settings.

My current setup:

• GPU: GTX 1660 Super
• CPU: Ryzen 3 3200G
• HD camera for facecam
• External microphone for clearer audio
• Fast internet connection (stable upload speed for streaming)

I use OBS Studio for streaming Dota 2 on Facebook Live, and I also want to improve real-time interaction with viewers through my microphone (talking smoothly while playing, less delay, better communication flow).

Right now, I feel like my stream still isn’t as smooth or clean as others, so I’m trying to properly optimize everything.

Right now I’m mainly focused on:

• Best OBS video settings (bitrate, resolution, FPS)
• Audio settings for clean mic quality (noise suppression, gain, etc.)
• Encoder settings (NVENC vs x264)
• Preventing lag, frame drops, and stuttering while streaming
• Better mic clarity and real-time voice interaction while gaming

I stream Dota 2 gameplay and sometimes do just chatting, so I want a good balance between quality, performance stability, and smooth live commentary while playing.

What I need help with:

• 720p or 1080p streaming settings
• Low latency OBS setup for Facebook Live
• Clear mic audio without distortion
• Overall best OBS practices for my setup
• Tips for better real-time voice commentary while streaming

Also open to any advice for improving stream quality with a webcam + mic setup in general. Still learning and trying to improve step by step.
