Which broker is reliable for PEA XTb or Trade Republic or Fortuneo or any other?
Hi everyone 👋sorry for writing in English since my french is not good yet.
I'm 29 years old and have been living in France for 2.5 years. I recently started a permanent job (CDI) and I'd like to start investing around €500/month from my salary.
I'm not interested in trading just long-term passive investing, ideally in index ETFs (MSCI World + S&P 500 type).
I've heard about the PEA account and its tax advantages after 5 years. it seems like the right vehicle for me. So I'm now looking for a reliable broker to open one.
A lot of people recommend XTB because of its 0% commission. However, I've also heard that XTB received a fine from the AMF (French financial regulator) at some point. I'm not sure if this affects the reliability of their PEA, or whether it's something to worry about.
My questions:
• Is XTB reliable and safe for a long-term PEA?
• How is the XTB app in practice for a complete beginner?
• Are there better alternatives for someone investing €500/month passively? (I've also seen Trade Republic and Fortuneo mentioned)
Any advice or personal experience would be very much appreciated. Thank you! 🙏
