I found out today but cousin's are awful people.

My grandmother is staying in an awful nursing home and I've been trying to get her somewhere better. Today I found somewhere but it's $200 a month more than I can afford. I asked my cousin's for help with and they both told me no in the most hurtful and uncaring way possible. Our grandmother was really good to us. I'm so disgusted they won't help. They are both very well off and contribute nothing else to my grandmother's care. I'm disgusted by who they are.

Grade 1 SL Afrikaans help. What is expected of students in assessments?

I am helping a grade 1 child prepare for their Afrikaans assessment. Their instructions on this exercise( pic uploaded ) are that the English is only given to help the parent and that the child must only prepare the Afrikaans version. The attached picture is an example of what will be in the assesment.

In the assessment itself will teacher only read the Afrikaans section without the English translation? Are the questions only in Afrikaans? Both seem far beyond what I was expected to do on grade 1.

Does anyone have experience with grade 1 second language Afrikaans that could tell me what is the best way to help a child prepare for this?
