My brother needs help
My brother is ruining my family. He is about to be 24. My mom dad brother and I all live in the same house. He hasn’t spoke to my father in about 3-4 years, they just walk past each other in the house or my brother avoids him. My dad has given up trying to make efforts to reconcile bc my brother is completely disrespectful. He lashes out randomly and sometimes gets physical with my mother and I. As of now he has been ignoring everything we say to him for the past 3 weeks. He is extremely disrespectful to us and will curse at us and say horrific things to us. He does not listen to any advice we give him. My mother can’t take it anymore and I see it is breaking her heart and I’m scared she going to end up in the hospital. I am sometimes scared he’s going to hurt us or himself, he’s never said anything to that nature but I just feel he’s so unpredictable . He will say “go ahead kick me out of the house” knowing my mother could never. We have encouraged him to go to therapy or a psychologist in the past but he refuses.
