Over the last few days my daughter has happily only had one day nap from 10am-12pm, then does not sleep again until 6pm (bedtime). Her sleep has significantly improved overnight too with only a midnight waking.

Before this her two naps were around 1hr at 9am and 45min at 2pm, until she was starting to push her 2nd nap really late and then wake up often overnight.

From what I read a common time for dropping the 2nd nap is around 12-13months, definitely not 8.5months. Is it wrong of me to support her with only one nap and reintroduce the 2nd nap if she shows signs she needs it (like a early or short first nap, or very tired around the time of the second nap)?

Bed: 6pm-6:30pm
Wakes for bottle 11:30pm
Wakes for bottle 4:30am
Wake: has been 5:30am-6am
Nap 1: 9am 45min-1hr
Nap 2: 2pm 45 min

My daughter doesn’t eat much, she loves to put food in her mouth and chew but does not swallow. Therefore not increasing her day calories and only drinking bottles in the day.

Could that be why she wants the bottles overnight? Do i just need to wait it out until she learns to properly eat and increase calories before expecting her to night wean again? (She was able to go longer over night without a bottle when she was about 6mo)
