I am a little bit confused when doing some segregation of duties problems. I understand the ARC nemonic and when two of them are present, it violates segregation of duties.

I am confused because I have seen some information say signing checks is authorization but other sources say its custody so I am not sure which it is.

Its also difficult for me to understand when certain responsibilities or tasks relate to authorization, recording, or custody.

I would appreciate any help.
