Hi everyone! I'm Thomas, a professional photographer.
I switched from a Pixel 9 Pro XL (which always gave me great results in RAW) to an Oppo Find x9 Pro.
My experience with the Oppo Find x9 Pro’s RAW and RAWMax formats has left a lot to be desired. For starters, I find it absurd that RAWMax photos undergo such heavy software intervention that it’s sometimes destructive to the image, smearing textures or distorting parts of the frame. I’ve noticed, however, that even the standard RAW format—supposedly "without" software processing—exhibits the same issues.
In general, this phone has serious problems regarding autofocus and texture resolution. I’ve attached some examples to show you what I’m talking about.
Here Oppo handled textures really bad which is grainy and looks artificially sharped
Here Oppo managed to get motion blur while taking a phot of... a turtle
Pixelous AI slop face
Somehow Oppo got he had to focus on the tree and not on the elder
PS2 Graphics
There's plenty of other examples, but I think that's enough in order to get my complaint.
Every suggestion is well welcomed, as someone who spent so much on a so-called flagship would want to use the camera at its best (especially when the whole marketing of the company is based on cameras)
