After accepting a role, how difficult would it be moving from one group to another, assuming I'm qualified for the other one?

Hey all,

I've applied to a couple roles and have interviews scheduled for them. Recruiters are asking what my base compensation expectations are. I'd be coming over from the public sector so it's difficult for me to assess what compensation I can/should be asking for. I've come across the obvious salary comparison websites and also a site called levels.fyi (which seems to have the most specific information out of the bunch).

I'm curious if there is any consensus as to which place to look is the best or how to make these sorts of valuations?

For those curious: Columbus Office, 602 (I think)
