RIF

I had a miscarriage and took four months of FMLA to recover. When I finally came back to work, my manager told me I was part of a RIF.

I'm honestly devastated. Losing my baby was already one of the hardest things I've ever been through, and now coming back only to lose my job feels incredibly cruel. I know companies have layoffs, but the timing has made this so much harder to process.

Has anyone else gone through something similar after returning from FMLA? I'm trying to understand my rights and also just looking for support because this has been one of the most painful experiences of my life.

Quant Salary Negotiation

I am being offered 105k gbp base in London for a front office quant research Senior Associate role close to alpha generation. I feel that this is a low ball offer because all my interviews went great and they advanced me very quickly. What is the right pay band for quant research in London? It would be great if someone can share their base as well.

I am a PhD at a top uni with multiple publications

Post Interview Update

After multiple interviews, here is what I received from the recruiter (Thank you for your participation in the interview process. Although the team was very impressed with you, they’ve ultimately decided to extend an offer to an internal candidate. My understanding is if that if this candidate does not accept the offer alternative candidates could be considered.) Dare I be hopeful that I can still get the job?

Relocation/ Internal move

Hi everyone,

I recently started as a product associate in CCB, has been just a few weeks. I've realized I hate the job. I come with close to 8 years of being a product manager and building products, but the job right now is close to being a scrum master, which is not what I expected to be.

I'm currently based out of the Plano office. I'm looking for advise from anyone that has done an internal move to a different role before 12 months of service.

I'm also looking to see if anyone has had success moving to a different location. I'm trying to see if CCB would allow me to make a move to the Austin office.

Any advice is appreciated please.

Left for a job at Big Tech and it's embarrassing how far behind the tech stack is compared to chase

just ranting, I never thought id actually be saying this but it's crazy how chase's tech stack and role on my old team was actually more modern and coding focused than my one now, holy shit. at this point if chase weren't ramming 5 day rto i would heavily consider just going back

Advice for new hire Associate banker? Any advice is serisouly appreciated!

I just got hired as a part time associate banker (30hours) at Chase, I don’t even know the location I’m going to be at yet. I start in a couple days and have done all the onboarding and passed the background check. I don’t really know the dress code but am taking this job seriously so I did a lot of research on the dress code. I just got a couple nice white button up long sleeve dress shirts, black slacks, nice black dress shoes and a belt. Will this be okay for what I wear to work?

It’s my first banking job I previously worked at target and have a lot of customer service experience. I’m just overall nervous I’m practicing anything I can I bought fake prop money to just practice counting fast. I’m a little nervous so if anyone can just provide advice or anything like that it would greatly appreciate please!! Misspelled seriously in title I know :(

Background Check Question

I’m currently in the background check process and realized that my months on my resume for my jobs are off by 1 month each due to me assuming the start date was the day I signed the offer letters (dumb, I know) .. The information I put on my background check info was correct but the resume is off by a month on two jobs. Will I have a chance to explain myself? Will they question me? Has anyone had this experience?

What would you rate your current job experience 1-10?

Basically considering your total hours, full compensation, incentives, colleagues and seniors you report to.

Verbal Offer Question

If I am otherwise in agreement with terms outlined in a verbal offer, is it reasonable to ask for a written offer letter before accepting? I have never agreed (formally or informally) to accept a position without reviewing a written offer letter.

Leave balances in pay slip

Why do we have Sick Exempt (Leave Balances) in pay slip?

Are unused sick leave paid off when some one is Riffed or resigns?

Handed in notice while being off sick. Been told to come back into the office

Hi UK based. I've been signed off sick leave by the GP for the past 4 weeks. I've informed my US based manager and her US based manager, on a call before I officially return to work from sick leave, that I'm resigning.

We had a 3 minute conversation which they ended with we will get back to you next week on what we would like from you. They did not asked me why or if I'm going to a competitor. Nor if I am fit enough to return to the office. I did say I was happy to do a handover and they were clear on making sure I share everything, which after being off for a few weeks isn't much. They seemed surprised and told me I was incorrect about a 2 month notice period for VPs. I only wish that was true...

Three hours after our call, my manager emailed to say I need to be in the office next week and handover for the next two months.

I don't feel fit to physically go back into the office.

I have a lot of holiday leave left, am I right in thinking I can take this over the next two months or can they reject it?

The person I am handing over to is also US based so unclear why I can't do this remotely. I did reply saying given my recent health conditions I am not in position to return to the office and happy to hand over remotely, happy to liaise with HR on arrangements. Should I ask my GP for a note advising work from home or they can reject that and force me to be in the office?

I'm pretty stressed by this as I don't understand this push for me to be in the office when I am resigning and it seemed being on sick leave has caused me to burn bridges.

Would really appreciate any advice as I don't trust anyone on my team at this point. Thank you!

Process after final interview (Internal mobility)

I've recently completed my final interview and I was wondering - how long would it take for me to hear back? Do they need to clear the approvals first before letting me know what is the final decision?

How did you break into JPMorgan Chase?

Hi everyone,

I’d love to hear your story. If you work at JPMorgan Chase, how did you get your foot in the door?

I’ve been networking, tailoring my resume for each role, highlighting my transferable skills, and preparing extensively for every interview. I’ve made it to the final and near-final rounds multiple times, but I haven’t been able to get across the finish line yet.

If there are any hiring managers, recruiters, or employees here who would be willing to share advice, review my resume, or even spend 15–20 minutes on a call to coach me, I’d be incredibly grateful. I’m always open to feedback and want to understand what I can do better.

My goal is to build a long-term career at JPMorgan, and I’m committed to doing whatever it takes to get there.

Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help—I truly appreciate it

How do you clock in/out in JPM

I’ll be starting soon at JPM doing 40 hours a week I’m wondering do we have to go in the system and put in the time you get in and out for each week or does it register when you badge in/out
I haven’t done that in years where I need to go in the system and figure out when I got in or out

JPMC Final Round (NYC Associate) – Recruiter says "still completing final interviews." What are my actual chances?

Hey everyone, looking for some real insight from people who have gone through the JPMC hiring pipeline.
I did my final round interview for an Experienced Associate role in NYC exactly two weeks ago. At the end of the interview, the hiring manager explicitly mentioned they were wrapping up interviews that week, but had one more candidate scheduled for early the following week, and that I should hear back in about a week.

After 8 days of silence, I followed up with the recruiter. No reply.

After 12 days, I followed up a second time. The recruiter (an Associate on the Experienced Recruiting team) replied manually with this exact message:

"Hi OP– the team is still completing final interviews. I apologize for the delay and will update you when there is more information. Thank you for your patience!"

It has now been 14 days total since my final interview.
For those who have dealt with JPMC HR:
Is this a generic "keep warm" email because I'm the backup choice, or does JPMC genuinely freeze the process until every single candidate finishes their loop due to compliance? If you got this exact email in the past, did it end in an offer or a rejection?

Thanks

Operating before the 4th

The fact that I am sitting here at a branch having to work before the fourth is absolutely mind boggling. This place cannot handle one day to not operate for these customers. The market being closed doesn’t say enough?!? Everything is about the clients and could give a shit less about their damn employees. It is so distasteful. Like no one wants a random floating holiday! People want long weekends. Especially since they have been boasting about the 250th anniversary all damn year and can’t even give their employees a day off before the fourth. It really is insane. It sounds like this is coming from a personal space because it is. The more I learn, the worse it gets here. They can’t even give us a half day. God I can’t wait to escape this place. Happy 4th everyone

2026 EOS results

Has anyone heard back about the EOS responses this year? There has been minimal comments generally with some glossed over items.

I know that for me and my manager we got pretty bad results as worst ever and likely to be moved out of the position due to it. However the bad details are about AI tracking, rtto and aimed at more senior management. In fact I’ve just received more manager and other appreciations than ever before. I understand that they need to blame someone and shown to be taking actions.

Any others in a similar situation?

As for reviews and check ins, I was SSS year after year and have great feedback again this year too. It seems to be only the EOS that is the issue

I need help getting a job,

Hi everyone, Looking for Advice on Breaking into JPMorgan Chase

I’m hoping someone here can offer some advice or point me in the right direction.

I have 6+ years of experience in business operations, project management, and strategic operations, along with an MBA. Over the past several months, I’ve interviewed for multiple roles at JPMorgan Chase and made it to the final or near-final rounds more than once. The feedback has consistently been positive, but each time the position ultimately went to an internal candidate.

I’ve now been unemployed for a few months, and while I continue applying and networking every day, I’m starting to feel stuck. JPMorgan is where I genuinely want to build my career, and I’m determined to keep trying.

If anyone has advice on improving my chances, knows of teams that are hiring, or would be willing to refer me for an operations, business management, project management, or Chief of Staff-type role, I would be incredibly grateful.

I’m based in Delaware (about two hours from New York City), open to relocating, and most recently worked for an investment firm in Pennsylvania.

Thank you to anyone willing to help or offer guidance—I truly appreciate it.
