Hi, i recently got a root canal done on molar #2. While the dentist was doing the treatment he noticed a cavity on side of molar #3 (in-between 2 and 3) for which he did a filling at the same time. After the treatment i went back to the dentist a couple times due to bite and floss shredding issues between the two teeth. That was all resolved. However, a couple days later i developed a dull ache in tooth #3 with numbness tingling on the cheek and temple area above the tooth. When he shot air on the filling done on #3 it gave me a zinging pain. He told me to switch tooth paste to sensodyne and see if that helps. It helped and gradually the numbness near the cheek went away but the tingling sensation near the eye/temple area remaines. Currently there is no discomfort in my teeth but i developed eye strain in the eye above the teeth where i had the procedure. The strain gets worse when i wear my glasses. I went back to my dentist but he gave up and told me to see a endodontist to see if #3 needed a root canal as well. Is it possible this is related to the filling and/or root canal or just a coincidence it happened around the same time and unrelated? Has anyone ever heard of such things happening?
Hi, i suddenly developed an eye strain at the corner of my eye near the temple and eye brow. I have high astigmatism and a lazy eye with strabismus surgery. The strain has only developed in the lazy eye.
So if i go back 6 weeks, i had a root canal procedure done on my top molar tooth #3 which is on the same side as the affected eye. After the procedure i developed numbness around the cheek and eye/temple area. I thought it was nerve related so i thought it would go away. The numbness around the cheek went away after a week but the eye still had residual tingling.
Around this time i had new glasses made because my current glasses are really scratched up. After wearing the new glasses for a couple days i could not tolerate it. I was feeling eye strain in my weak eye and a fishbowl effect in my dominant eye. The prescription was exactly the same no changes. I switched back to my old glasses and have been wearing them since.
Now out of the blue i got this strange eye strain with my old glasses similar to the strain i had with the new glasses. I've been wearing the same glasess for the past 5 years without any issues. Im not sure what happened.
Im reallly confused as to where to go or what to do. At first i thought it the root canal which was causing the issue due to nerve irritation. Now i found my strain goes away when i take my glasses off or close my weaker eye.
I work for a manufacturing company (unrelated to healtcare) that's requiring employees to get the covid booster. I already got the 2 initials doses back in 2021 for work requirement at my last job but I don't want to get jabbed again. I have the covid vaccination card. Would a doctor or private pharmacy help out in this case?
