One - one as performance review
I’ve been seeing a lot of posts lately in this thread around performance reviews, guess it’s already that time of year already. That being said, it’s had me thinking about a friend of mine’s workplace she mentioned her yearly review process. They don’t actually really use any surveys (use to before she came in about a little over 2.5 years ago) but rather it’s a conversation with the manager where it’s a one to one for about an hour. She said her boss said it’s a great way to check in with people and get to know them better.
Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? Is this the better approach?
