Kinda couldn't figure out how to make the nose and lips look less smudgy but over all I am happy how it turned out.

It's been 3 days or so that I have started studying values/rendering I think I am making good progress but I am not satisfied. Can you suggest me some source that helps with rendering and values.

I have decent concept of the fundamentals for line art but am a complete beginner when it comes to those 2 and I suppose materials for colors would help alot too.

Finally started studying on values and how the hell do you do the mid tones? I think I got a decent grasp at the core shadow and ambient light but my midtones look so smudgy.
