Got a XPPen Artist 15.6 Pro - what do I need to run it?

As in the title, I just got the tablet for free, unfortunately without any cables etc. It has one USB-C slot but plugging a regular USB C to A cable in it just shows no signal and turns of.

Which accessories and cables do I need to run the tablet (special cables, what pen?) Unfortunately it came without anything but I got it for free.

Can I remove the screen protector from an artist 13 gen 2?

So I bought some replacement screen protector and this will sound dumb but can I remove the existing one to replace it with the new one or is this a case of I put the new one on top of the current scratched up screen protector? I am only asking this because its so hard to remove it and is wondering if its actually a part of the screen. Thanks for the help!

Cable issue or panel issue?

Plugged in my Artist 12 tablet after like 2 years of not using it.

The screen lights up but has this weird mess on it.

Pen works fine, pressure works fine, I can draw if I set the work area to another monitor for testing.

Any idea if this is the panel or cable? I can't really afford to replace my tablet right now so cable is definitely the preferred option.

A little problem with XP Pen

Hello!

Just got a new XP Pen Deco Pro gen2, which I am using in my primary program, SAI 1.

For the most part, it works completely fine, and I'm super satisfied with it - pressure works, everything is great.

But occasionally, it's almost as if the pen becomes 'disabled' in the program, being unable to interact with anything in it. This is easily fixed by taking my mouse, clicking out of SAI and back in, and it all works again.

Easy fix, however, extremely annoying when you're in the middle of a work flow.

Has anyone found a more permanent solution to this problem?
Does anyone else even have this problem?

500 dollar piece of grabage

I'm on the verge of tears right now because I just bought the magic drawing pad and I cannot create folders on the home page, or organize files.

I just made a quick frowny face in hipaint, and cannot save the file to the actual device, I try to save it to google files and it doesn't go anywhere, try to "share" it to the device and it doesn't work.

Did I really just spend $500 on a piece of garbage that won't let me even have a "my art" folder to save my art to from drawing apps?

I can't even get started drawing on this thing, because without folders and file organization and being able to control where art files go and actually SAVE THEM TO THE #%&*% DEVICE there is no point!!!

I would not have bought this thing if I knew something so simple was going to have me crying in frustration.

Wacom Intuos pro 2017 or xp pen artist pro 16 gen 2 in 2026

should i buy a used intuos pro 2017 in 2026. I was planning to buy an xp pen artist pro 16 gen 2 as my first pen display but I’m a bit worried about ergonomics since i have a bad shoulder and I’m also worried about the cable managing. I’m moving soon also so the pth-660 being lightweight is a big plus. However I’m worried about the driver not supporting the tablet in some years from now. I’m wondering if I can just use the old driver and not update to the latest one, what would happen if I keep using the old driver, will it get faulty. And the xp pen artist pro 16 gen 2 can be switched to a pen tablet also so I can get 2 in 1 and not having to contemplate on the choice much? If I buy the intuos pro 2017 now I can save to get a cintiq 24 2025 with stand in the future because I don’t want to settle with the foldable legs on the artist pro 16 gen 2, worrying it might strain my neck. Since it’s gonna be my first screen table, I’m very worried. Should I go for it or just resort to the intuos pro 2017, but I would need assurance about the driver support. My previous tablet is an xp pen deco 02

This is predatory design. Your "protective film" is a plastic bag that inhibits testing the device. If you remove the device from the plastic bag.

This is actually stupid. Have a peely protective film like a normal product. Not an oversized bag

XPen 24 Gen 2 165hz Advice

Hey everyone,

I just bought my first  XPEN 24 pro Gen2 165 hz XP-Pen display tablet, so I'm completely new to this and was hoping to get some advice from people with more experience.

So far I've installed the latest driver from the XP-Pen website, connected everything, ran a few monitor test websites, and used a color calibration tool. Is there anything else I should test or check to make sure the tablet is working properly?

I'd also love to hear how you guys have your setup. My biggest problem right now is desk space. Once the tablet is on my desk, there's basically no room left for my keyboard. Do you keep your keyboard off to the side, use a smaller keyboard, or have another setup that works well?

I also noticed that a lot of people seem to use the X3 Pro pen instead of the slim version. Is there a reason for that? Is the regular pen just more comfortable, or does it perform better? I'm curious why XP-Pen offers both if most people seem to prefer one over the other.

Another thing I couldn't figure out: I don't see an official screen protector for my model on the XP-Pen website. Do I actually need one, or is the factory-installed surface enough?

And finally, if you have any tips, recommended settings, accessories, or things you wish you knew when you first got your XP-Pen, I'd really appreciate hearing them.

Thanks!

16 pro or 22 pro?

I’ve used a Wacom intuos for as long as I can remember, and have been drawing on an iPad Pro for the last decade. Love both for different things but I want to try a display tablet!

Being budget conscious, I’ve been eyeing up the Artist Pro 16 gen 2 and Artist Pro 22 gen 2.

I’ve tried screen mirroring with the iPad before, and I found the UI and panels too small to feel comfortable.

Desk space not an issue. Obvs would like to save money with the smaller tablet if it does the job, but will the 16 be a large enough jump in screen size from drawing on my iPad?

Edited to add: I will be using all the usual art software for digital painting. PS, CSP, Krita.

My pen’s pressure sensitivity won’t work properly

I have an artist 15.6 pro. I had a problem with the pen last night, where i accidentally dropped it, and then the pen’s sensors went off and drew lines even when i was only hovering over the screen. I’ve done everything for it, change the nibs, restart my pc and tablet, and even unscrewed the whole thing and fixed the tuner. I managed to fix it a few hours ago, but now there’s another problem; the sensitivity won’t work properly. I can draw lines, but the pressure will go almost to the max even when i just slightly press the nib on the screen. I’ve used the pen tablet app and changed the controls, but those don’t do anything, does anybody know how to fix this??

It says 'No Signal' when I plugged the 3-in-1 cable to my Laptop

I bought my first pen tablet it is XP Pen Artist 12 2nd gen, and when I tried to plugged in my laptop, it's a gaming laptop called ROG Strix G17 and I'm pretty sure I plugged it right into my HDMI port and two USB ports. It showed the brand but eventually pop-up a 'NO SIGNAL'. Then the light in the power button went orange after it went blue at first.

I tried to plug it my USB-C cable (used on my phone), it briefly opened the XP Pen drivers but in a few seconds it said NO SIGNAL again and it turned off. I'm really out of options.

I'd like to know how to fix this problem. Thank you!
