Problem/Goal: Hindi ako gusto ng mom ng girlfriend ko. I love my girlfriend kaya gusto ko gawin lahat ng makakaya ko para makuha ko loob ng mom ni GF
Context: My girlfriend is 4 yrs older than me. She works in the Legal field while I work in Finance. GF’s mom doesn’t like the fact na her daughter is the older one and my job is a non-licensed profession. The mom said to GF (through a phonecall between them) that I’m not stable and established at this stage in our lives and should just break up with me at baka maging dependent pa raw ako kay GF eventually. While I do get where GF’s mom is coming from, kasi kung parent nga naman you’re also looking out for your kid, right? I just don’t like the fact na nahusgahan na agad ako and dismissed outright before even giving me the chance to prove myself. Anyone with similar experiences?
Previous Attempts: Our (Mine and GF’s) initial idea is for GF to talk to her mom about the relationship. My plans for myself, my background, and what I’m capable of… hopefully to change her mind. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
