Last night we had a formula tub spill & thankfully still had a few bottles left in it to wait for our Instacart order to be delivered today, but I got a bunch of refund notifications & quickly the shopper checked out, I was instantly suspicious that they were lying because the Enfamil NeuroPro is always available (usually loaded with tubs). Then noticed that the 3 out of 8 items were found, majority of stuff is always there.
I knew I wouldn’t have enough formula to last the rest of my shift at work so I had to use half of a personal day to go & buy some. I get to the store and sure enough, everything that they marked “out of stock” was in stock. Also, for it being a Friday at Costco - it wasn’t super busy… so the 3 items they did get were super close to each other. This has happened before but it was never urgent enough to check the store myself, it’s sad that this is a thing. Could’ve at least grabbed the baby formula…
I feel like since this was obviously on purpose (not just one missed item, which is understandable), that shoppers should either be banned off the platform or suspended for a while.
