Does anyone hate Slack as much as me? Or am I using it wrong?

I’ve been at my new company for about six months after moving from Teams to Slack, and honestly I can’t believe how much worse I find it. Surely I can’t be the only person who feels this way, so I’m wondering if I’m just using it incorrectly.

The biggest issue for me is how DMs and channels are separated. I understand the idea is to help people focus on direct messages, but I constantly end up missing messages in channels because of it.

Another thing that drives me crazy is notifications. When I tap a notification for a channel message, the notification disappears but often doesn’t actually take me to the channel or message itself.

I’ve already tried adjusting my preferences and using Simple Mode, but it still feels clunky compared to Teams.

Am I missing some setup or workflow that makes Slack easier to use, or do other people feel the same way?
